DVD to DivX

This document was really helpful to a lot of people in the early 2000s, when DVD burners were hundreds of dollars, and DVDs were 3-4 dollars a piece, and the software to automate conversion of DVDs to DivX sucked.

Now, DVDs and burners are cheap, and automated conversion software is pretty good. Still, if you have needs that are met by the make-it-as-easy-as-possible software, you have to roll up your sleeves and get dirty - that's the time this document may still come in handy.

Its especially handy for manual control of deinterlacing.
